lyrics
How do you bounce back when the train goes off the track?
Walking in snow, drunk on your way home or just smoking the whole pack?
How do you forgive evil people doing evil shit?
And wondering if you are the version of their truth, and if others believe it?
But then I know it’s a sign that the universe loves a good joke,
And the mirror on the wall in my bathroom reveals the subtle hoax,
That it’s stationary and the wheel of time slowly sings,
I was wrong about so many simple things.
How do you relate to a passion you’ve come to hate?
When you protect yourself from any type of risk so you don’t go insane.
How do you keep it together, well enough without question: bed to work then bed again, to maintain a sense of progression?
But now I know it’s a sign that the universe loves a good joke,
And the mirror on the wall in my bathroom reveals the subtle hoax,
That it’s stationary and the wheel of time slowly sings,
I was wrong about so many simple things.
All of it could be worse, better to laugh than to grudge,
I’m coming back from the depths of rooftops, ropes, and guns.
All of it could be worse, if you have pulse then you have a life,
Don’t waste anymore precious time.
